I feel compelled to share this story that I think about almost every day. How I feel when I think of this story keeps me inspired . . .
When I was in my late teens, I was standing in line at the bank when a man in line with me struck up a conversation. I have often wished I could thank him because he made a huge impact on me that I will never forget. I don’t know how we got on the subject, but I remember him asking me what I would do or be if I could do anything in the world. Well, at the time, in my riding pants, on the way to the stables . . . all I wanted to do was show jumping horses! I wanted to go big and be one of those riders on tv jumping their horses through unbelievable courses. But, I told him, it was just a dream. His response was perfect, “Why would God give you dreams if they couldn’t come true?” I have held that so close to my heart for many years. I didn’t go to church and didn’t know if I even believed in God but, to this day, I know there is a “higher” source out there. I remember being excited and telling my mom – she rolled her eyes and squashed that idea. So typical of society and how most people think.
I never did what I dreamed. Instead, I got that “secure” job my mom recommended and started working for the State of CA. Soon after, I also did all the things society had “taught” me I should do. I met a nice man, got married, bought a house, had two boys . . . and then eventually divorce. However, that’s another story . . . I was living someone else’s story. I had to break free!
I got my priorities straight. I decided what I wanted. I learned “The Secret”. I saw how I had used “The Secret” in my past without even knowing it. I “woke” up.
I now have a second marriage, a third boy and a really big DREAM that I DO NOT plan to let go or let someone else squash. I still remember that feeling I had when that man asked me that one question. “Why would God give you dreams if they couldn’t come true?” It makes me all tingly inside and I know it to be true. My husband and I are striving for FREEDOM. Freedom from the conformities of society, freedom from working for someone else, freedom from financial restraints, freedom to travel, freedom to spend as much time with our children as we want and so much more!
My husband and I are Finding Synchronicity every day and we support each other when we have to deal with “challenging” situations or people and remind each other of our “WHY” – our kids and showing them a different way to live life, different from what society says life should be. We meditate, we stay positive, we stay focused, we look for what we can learn from those “challenging” times or people. Most of all we BELIEVE in our DREAMS!
We surround ourselves with like-minded people who also have big dreams. We share their energy and this is another way we stay inspired, motivated, focused . . .
I am so pleased that you are still reading my story. Synchronicity has created this connection – it’s no accident you found us. I’m hoping you’re looking for like-minded people like us to help you fulfill your dreams. If you would like to stay connected with us and stay positive, motivated and inspired, please “like” our FB Page:
