Gratitude Creates Abundance

The formula for success begins with gratitude. Being grateful for what you have, do and experience opens up doors to much more.  Here are a couple of steps that can help you get started:
  • Wake Up With Gratitude
When you wake up each morning, run through a list of things that you are grateful for. Just a few suggestions: be thankful for the power of choice, for the bed you’re sleeping in, for the people in your life . . . simply, that you’re awake. I’m sure you can think of plenty but think of at least five.
Do this all day long. When you have a spare minute, when you’re driving or waiting in line. There are many opportunities throughout the day.
Finish by doing this exercise again as you lay down to go to sleep. Saying your prayers, counting your blessings or just running through what you are thankful for that day.
  • Keep a Gratitude Journal
A gratitude journal puts your thoughts on paper. This is a very empowering as a tool to look back at to remind yourself of what you have to be thankful for.
As the “new” you emerges, you will see a difference in what you are thankful for. You will start feeling abundance as you grow; you will start perceiving things differently in your life as what really matters comes into focus and you will start living in abundance.

Try living with as much gratitude as you can for 21 days (studies show it takes 21 days to make a “chore”, or something you may need to train yourself to do, a routine).  I’ve seen challenges that suggest starting with writing five things down a day.  That’s a great start but add onto that your mental training of thinking of things you are thankful for.  
You will see how your perceptions begin to change and how your life will start to change.  You will see a shift in your ego that allows you to see the abundance that surrounds you.
