20 Random Things About Me

Honestly, I just didn’t know what to blog about today.  Ah, but have no fear!  Kalatu blogging is here!!!  Our Kalatu blogging system is so awesome, you can click on a button “Give Me An Idea” and keep clicking until you find something that is appealing to you.  There is also another option where Kalatu will give you an idea and boxes to fill in . . . when you’re done . . . whaaaalaaa!  BLOG post done!  However, I just wasn’t feeling it today, so I went the “Give Me An Idea” route.  So easy either way.

I think I picked this topic because I am too lazy to think of anything else to write.  Hey, if it’s about me, it’s already in my head, right?  Or supposedly.  There’s all kinds of things floating around in my head and I can’t always remember what’s what.

I’m not even sure if you want to know anything about me but if you’re reading my blog, then you do . . . or your a stalker . . . hmmmm . . .

Ok, so let’s get started:

1. I am Filipino (most people can tell that) but I am also 1/2 Japanese.
2. My Japanese family are descendants of samurai (pretty cool, eh?)
3. The house I grew up in was HUGE and I had the best hiding place on a shelf under the pool table where no one could ever find me!
4. I went to school in Northern California where our elementary school was something like 80% Asian making us the majority.
5. I have a scar on my knee that is the shape of a spoon from a splinter that got infected and turned into a blister.
6. My cousin gave me her horse when I was 12, a palomino mustang welsh pony mix, that I had for 8 years.  I was a natural and can ride western, English and, of course, bareback.  (or at least I could – it’s been a while)
7. I used to dance the hula, Tahitian, and even Maori.  I toured the world with our dance group and there are pictures of me half naked all over the world.
8. I totaled my car when I was 19, broke the driver’s side window with my head (I know that will explain a lot to those of you that know me) and got a concussion.  I still don’t remember a thing about the accident.
9. I don’t like tomatoes, but I love salsa.
10. I love guacamole, but can’t stand avocados.
11. Mosquitoes love me.
12. I LOVE video games and I morph into another person so I try not to touch them because I won’t get anything done and then I have to fight the kids for game time!
13. My grandma used to call to wish me happy birthday every year . . . but never got the date right (always a day early or late – but still called me EVERY year regardless).
14. I met my husband on Match.com.
15. It rained buckets on our wedding day but it cleared for just long enough to get married on the beach (the sun even peaked out and shone on us as we exchanged our vows).
16. I have three boys – girls are a mystery to me.  (even our dog is a boy)
17. I am a stay-at-home mom.
18. I earned my 2nd degree black belt in kenpo-based mixed martial arts two and a half years ago.
19. I found a business I can work from my laptop making money working the hours I choose.
20. Finally, I was on my e-mail until the last 20 minutes of labor with my 3rd son . . . technology – WOW! (oh and yes, EPIDURAL all the way!!!
